Trade qualified fitters who specialise in the scheduled and breakdown maintenance of blast hole and exploration drill rigs while also maintaining versatility putting their skills to work on the entire range of mining equipment. We supply fitters for crew positions and also “On Call” for mobile breakdown maintenance. Our team have worked on all brands of mining equipment including Epiroc, Sandvik, CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi & Liebherr. This includes but is not limited to drills, excavators/diggers, off highway dump trucks, bulldozers, graders and loaders.

Within our Paget workshop we are equipped to reduce the overall cost of your component rebuilds & overhauls to help you meet your budget. Whether it is scheduled maintenance completed on hours or a breakdown needing urgent repairs to get your equipment working again, we are interested in helping you. This includes but is not limited to services on hydraulic cylinders, valves, pumps and motors. Also gearboxes, pump drive boxes, final drives, rotary heads, lubrication pumps and much more.

Many OEMs design their systems or components to cost a fortune by using custom made components not readily available. We are able to redesign specific components to be an off the shelf option to increase availability and decrease cost. Similarly should a component be no longer available for purchase and a new product is required to be adapted then we can source, supply and install these. We can source and supply products from a range of manufacturers including but not limited to GRACO, Alemlube, CROSS Hydraulics, Turck, IFM, Parker Denison, Rexroth and Danfoss.
Our history
Precision Diesel & Hydraulics is owned and directed by Lachlan Brand and Kayden Zecchinati to deliver specialised maintenance and hydraulic solutions to the mining and drilling sectors. Lachlan commenced his career with an apprenticeship at Hastings Deering and has since accumulated extensive experience across civil earthmoving, exploration drilling, fixed and mobile plant hydraulics, and then worked on his expertise in blasthole drilling maintenance. We have held supervisory positions on major mine sites, overseeing maintenance and workforce management. Kayden completed his apprenticeship with Custom Fluid Power, developing over 11 years of specialised hydraulic experience, including the involvement in design and manufacture of underground bolting platforms. He advanced to Field Service Supervisor within Custom and since joining Precision, has gained years of direct involvement in drill maintenance including as a mine site supervisor.
